70th Republic Day Celebration 2019
The PKN College celebrated the 70th Republic Day on 26th January 2019 in the college premises. Mr.S.V.Krishna Moorthy Nadar, Secretary of the college, hoisted the tricolour. President, Secretary, Treasurer, Principal, faculty members, admin staffs and students were presented during the celebration. Students delivered short but inspiring and informative talk about the importance of the celebration and also about the achievements of the country in the last 70 years. Some cultural dance events and one special moral about nation was done on the celebration moments, afterwards sweets are distrubuted to students and all staff members.

Pongal Day Celebration 2019
The Students of P.K.N Arts & Science College celebrated Pongal festival on 19th January 2019. President, Secretary, Treasurer, Principal, faculty members, admin staffs and students were presented during the celebration. The function started with a Prayer and the lighting of Lamp by the Dignitaries.
NSS Camp Inaugural Function Jan-2019
NSS unit of PKN Arts & Acience College organized a special camp in the village,for girls students Achampatti and for boys students Melaurappanur from 07-01-2019 to 11-01-2019. This special camp was organised with the help of management members of college and staffs volunteers. The Volunteers of the NSS unit performed many other activities – awareness programmes as literacy, tree plantation, health and hygiene, construction and repairs, communal harmony etc.

Teachers Day Celebration 2018
A joint effort by all the college committee members of PKN College was to celebrate teachers day on 5th September 2018.The event started by 1:00 pm IST in Conference Hall . The seminar hall over flowed with pupil who wanted to celebrate teachers day with respect and love for their gurus (teachers).
Once again it was one of the very successful events organized by the president, secretary, treasurer and management committee member’s students of PKN College. PKN College committee took the whole responsibility of arranging a great full food to the faculty members.
Prof. Dr.V.Ramarajapandian, Department of Modern Literature, Madurai Kamaraj University delivered speech in which he talked about the importance and essence of teacher’s day. Small gifts as a token of love were given to all faculty members and Non Teaching faculty members were arranged by the PKN college committee members.
Blood Donation Camp 2018
"GIVE BLOOD GIVE LIFE"
A blood donation camp was organized by College Committee members, Youth Red Cross Club Committee and Lions Club Member Association on 28th August 2018. A team of doctors and nurses of Government Primary Health Centre came for collection of blood. The event started with welcoming the guest for donating blood.
The activity of blood donation was started by management committee President, Secretary, Treasurer, Principal, Faculty & volunteers of youth red cross committee members thereafter other donors joined the event. There was an overwhelming response from students and other donors a total of 40 units were collected in the camp. Some of the donors who could not donate this time were assured for donation in the next camp. A Certificate of appreciation, donation card, and refreshment was given to each donor as a token of gratitude
72nd Independence Day Celeberation 2018
72nd Independence Day / 15th August Freedom Day Celebration in our college
It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years for us to break shackles of slavery. People of the country celebrate this festival every year with great pomp and show. The main Programme is celebrated at the Red Fort in New Delhi. Besides, this festival is also celebrated in every city and town, in school, college and university.
The President, Secetary, Treasurer and Management committee was the Chief Guest of the Programme.
The Principal delivered the short speech. He told the students about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. He also said that the freedom was very precious and it was very necessary to preserve it.
The PKN College committee president hoisted the national flag on the college campus sharp at 9:00 am. All the students and staff members saluted the flag and then sang the National Anthem. The College committee members planted saplings in the college campus.
Then followed the Cultural Programme. Patriotic Poems and Songs were recited both by the teachers and the students. Some students also presented the group dance and skits.
In the end of the ceremony, sweet ( Jellabi) were distributed among the students and staff members.
